Why We Think In Canopies, Layers, & Communities
Most people start a landscape project by asking, “What plants should we use?” Fair question – but it’s usually the wrong place to start. The landscapes that actually hold up over time aren’t built plant by plant. They’re built in layers, with plant communities that work together.
If you’ve ever had a yard that looked great at install and slowly fell apart, this is why. In this week’s blog, we break down how thoughtful design creates outdoor spaces that feel better, last longer, and require a lot less maintenance.
